Afghanistan
The final report was submitted for review by the government of Afghanistan.
Angola
As of the end of May, the LIS had identified 17,410 communities in Angola. Survey staff visited 3,171 of these communities of
which 1,402 were identified as impacted. Surveying has been completed in 13 of the 18 provinces in Angola, covering 379 of the
country’s 555 communas. Due to a funding shortfall, however, activity on the survey will be reduced over the coming months.
During this time, the HALO Trust will conduct Preliminary Opinion Collection in Kuando Kubango; InterSOS will continue surveying
in Namibe, and MAG will continue surveying in Lunda Sul.
SAC extends its heartfelt appreciation to the SAC field team, led by Uli Tietze, for their superb work during the survey.
Uli and Begona Fontan Pena will leave Luanda. Mohammad Qasim and Antonio Muhungo continue on with UNDP. SAC would also like to
acknowledge and thank all the NGOs for their dedication on this project.
Eritrea
The final report has been distributed and is downloadable from our website. We will attempt to reduce
the file sizes in the near future to make the downloads quicker.
